Sherlock Holmes: The Definitive Audio Collection

REVIEW:

It can be really great when two things you enjoy are brought together.

I’ve just been listening to Stephen Fry narrate the audiobooks in Sherlock Holmes: The Definitive Audio Collection.

Stephen also narrated the complete Harry Potter in the past and I’ve really enjoyed his style. He’s great at making the voices distinctive, but isn’t too intrusive.

He does just as well with Sherlock Holmes.

I’ve long been a fan, I know the stories well and have watched them in many versions on the screen, but it’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed them fully in the words of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

It was such a pleasure to rediscover the language in the stories, and to enjoy having someone read them to me.

Stephen also provides personal introductions that he’s written for some of the titles.

I was already a huge fan of both Holmes and Fry, and I enjoyed the audiobooks very much.

Sherlock Holmes: The Definitive Audio Collection was released in February 2017.
